Manual
inWaves user manual
Written against the shipping build. Every control name quoted in these pages is checked against the application's own text catalogue.
Before you start
inWaves runs on Windows 10/11 (64-bit) and checks its licence online every time it starts, so keep the machine connected at launch. The analysis runs entirely on your computer, and nothing about your models leaves it.

Your first analysisA guided run: import a part, mesh it, hold it, solve its modes, read the result.
Workflows
Each workflow is a complete path through the product: numbered steps, the exact controls to use, and a check on your result at the end.
Structural: mesh to modesGeometry, meshing, materials, supports and loads; modal, static, buckling and frequency response.
Measured signals & modal testImport measurements, look at spectra, and identify modes from an FRF.
Sound radiation & roomsTurn vibration into sound with Rayleigh or BEM, and solve rooms by ray tracing.
Motion, contact & flowRigid-body dynamics with real contact, and the coupled flow solver.
